Committee members help shape the future of the HR profession by identifying and helping facilitate meaningful learning experiences that are both relevant and engaging for them personally and for other HR colleagues. It's a great way to expand your professional network by working more closely with other GBR SHRM members and speakers, enhance your project management, strategic planning, communication, and leadership skills, as well as give back to the HR community as a whole. These efforts directly benefit the local community through advocating scholarships and resources that educate HR professionals and their families. Additionally, the chapter can make a significant impact by organizing fundraising events, promoting the Foundation's work, volunteering with aligned organizations, and advocating for inclusive practices. Ultimately, these combined efforts contribute to a more skilled and diverse workforce, benefiting both Baton Rouge businesses and residents.
