GBR 401: Lead the Way

Are you ready to take your GBR SHRM membership to the next level?

GBR SHRM 401: Lead the Way is an informal lunch & learn designed for members who want to learn more about board service — no experience required, and no commitment expected just by attending.

This session is part of GBR SHRM's Member Engagement Pathway, a four-level program designed to help members get oriented (101), get connected (201), get involved (301), and ultimately lead the chapter they've come to rely on (401).

What we'll cover:

• How the GBR SHRM Board of Directors is structured and how it functions

• A tour of available board roles and what each one actually involves day-to-day

• What the time commitment and term expectations look like

• What kinds of experience and skills translate well to board service — and why you may be more ready than you think

• How to formally express your interest in serving

Who should attend:

This session is open to all GBR SHRM members. You don't need a certification, a senior title, or years of experience. If you've been engaged with the chapter and wondered what happens behind the scenes, this session is for you.
